  1. +1. After you empty the container add Kalk.
  2. A1 has a program were you earn discount points.
  3. If your dosing what is the need for a kalk stirrer?
  4. At a minimal, you need the following test kits, Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, and Salinity. Optional, Nitrate and Phosphate (Hanna). I was going to keep it brand neutral, but I recommend Salifert test kits. No need to be intimidated by dosing. Testing your water parameters periodically will minimize the risk of overdosing.
  5. Do you have any Acropora?
  6. Stop dosing and let the alk drop naturally. Depending on the salt you are using, a water change will not help in the near term. Frag it and place on sandbed.
  7. When running a ULNS, SPS corals become very sensitive to alkalinity levels. FWIW here are the water parameter I like to follow: Water Parameters KH 7 - 8 Ca 400 - 420 Mg 1200 - 1350 Salinity 33-35 ppt K+ 380 - 400
  8. Place the rabbitfish in the largest hospital tank you have; he will be in there for several weeks. Also, ensure you have plenty of salt on hand.
  9. If you value those magnificent colors adding fish as pairs is preferred, otherwise colors on singular wrasse will diminish. Can you add all your wrasse at the same time?
  10. $250 includes shipping. Materials to build a 72x36x12 canopy roughly $50-$100, or hang the fixtures from the ceiling, $15 per unit. The Razor may win a few beauty contests but its not enough to compare against Evergrow, Radion, Vegas and AI. Aesthetically, I believe the comparison is between commercial vs DIY.
  11. Actually, you can get (2) D120 for $250.
  12. Keep monitoring the eyes, if you notice a change in color and shape of the "cloudy" area, I would say they are flukes. Important note: It is rare, but sometimes flatworms that look like flukes can exist on the eyes and Prazi will not cure flatworms. I think Formalin is the only thing that will get the flatworms. IMHO you could potentially have flukes, not you personally.
  13. Look closely around the eyes. It can be confirmed if the OP observes the eye(s) for an extended period to determine any fluke movement on the eye. If it is not fluke, possibly bacteria infection.
  14. Based on your pix, I don't think you are treating ALL the issues. The fish may have ich, but I also see flukes. Copper/Cupramine will not eradicate flukes, get some Prazipro or Praziquantel. Do you plan on running your main display fallow?
  15. I do not use the PRO version because the Alkalinity is too high. The "regular" version is more acceptable for my reefing philosophy.
  16. Are saying they are not capable of doing this...
  17. I thought all cyanoacrylate based gels were the same. Stick coral to glue and it sticks, sets in 30 seconds, at least that is how it works for me.
  18. Super Gel from the dollar store. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2
  19. If the macro algae is well established it can work. Well established is defined as you are pulling/trimming at least bi-weekly.
  20. Order a unit from Reefbreeds with the standard configuration.
  21. Cool. I hope it works out for you. I always cringe when I hear the concept of overflow and check valve.
  22. Nothing good happens quickly in this hobby, ride it out. If you chose to export via water changes, move to weekly water changes.
  23. You do understand aquarium salt is made of elements other than sodium chloride. The point I was trying to make is elements, such as vitamins and aminos within the manufactured reef salt maybe attributing to the condition. We maybe using the term "salt" loosely.
