Just switched to a 4 bulb tek fixture over my 20 gallon.. just drop the extra cash for a nice fixture and be done with it. The hanging kit looks pretty sweet if thats an option for you

Connor that golden midas is by far my favorite fish even when he digs hugs holes under my rocks and shifts my whole aquascape. Jason, that clam has put on about an inch since I got him two months ago, you can't see it very well in the picture but the new shell growth is bright white, my other two seem to be doing well but I got them right before the move so I don't think they have settled in quite yet. One of them was looking rough (lost a lot of its color) but I think its coming back slowly. Only things I lost in the move were my purple cap (anyone wanna replace it?? I literally lost it... couldn't find it in any of my coral buckets when i was putting my tank back together) and now its looking like my green slimer is gonna die... still don't understand why but everything else made it. James... I want to upgrade to a 120 soo bad but I just can't do it until I buy my own place, which will hopefully be in the next year at which point I'll probably be setting up a few tanks.

Thanks for all the input. Chip I didn't know you had a purple LTA, what size is it?!? I tried one and couldn't get it to attach anywhere in my system and it slowly died.

havn't updated since the move... here is what the tank looks like now

Just bought some lancefish the other day to feed to my RBTA. It went nuts as soon as it touched the fish and closed around everything except the tail (very cool to watch). By this morning everything was gone and I could see that there was nothing in the mouth so i'm wondering when I can feed it another one?? I like watching things each eachother.. reminds me of my 6' python

moved a fully set up 240 with 4 people in 10 hours, didn't have to set it up again since all the live stock went in another tank but still I thought it was pretty good time.

salinity is low i'm surprised other stuff isn't showing signs of anything, raise it slowly I forget what rate is safe but i'm sure someone will chime in. Can't hurt to do a water change either that seems to fix everything for me.

I can do this with a fixture?? right now I have a coralife MH/PC/moonlight fixture if I could rewire it to run 2 T5 bulbs that would be awesome.

I want to sell my MH PC fixture and switch to either a MH T5 fixture or just T5. I'm working with a 20 tall so its 12"x24". I want to see what fixtures you recommend as well as what bulbs. My main complaint with the PC's is the color or should I say lack thereof.

glad to see you decided to stick with it scott, I actually had a heater blow up in my water change bucket while I was in the bahamas last week. Luckily I have a submersible one on my tank. It left a nasty battery smell in the bucket and I ended up throwing it away since I didn't want it to contaminate my water. No more glass heaters anyone!

I run phosban on my sytem so I don't think that is it No its not sliming... I think it could be from the move,, but then why wouldn't any of the others be having issues?? I thought they were supposed to be one of the most hardy sps??

Moved my tank about two weeks ago and everything seemed to have settled nicely. I came back from my cruise on tuesday and a few corals are suffering and I can't figure out why. My green bali slimer which is next to my red leisman table coral has completely browned out my red monti has white spots and one of my clams looks like it whited out. Everything else looks like it is in great shaping including other sps, clams, and caps. My main concern is the green slimer since it was growing like crazy prior to the move and it would suck to lose it now. One thing I was thinking was that with my new aquascape these 3 are directly under my MH as opposed to being slightly off to one side, but all my other sps shifted the same way since they are on the same rock and they are fine. In fact I haven't seen the others extend their polyps this far before. One idea I had was that maybe it was fighting the table coral and now it is losing since I only have about an inch between them... I thought if they were I would see some kind of discharge?? I will get pictures later if that helps... Also will add that I did a 25% water change when I got back cause I figured that couldn't hurt and my water params are spot on, 0 across the board, 380 calcium and 10 alk

my midas blenny has moved almost all the sand from the back right of the tank to the front, he takes bits in his mouth and then spits the out all over. it was fine till my rocks started shifting cause he was digging under them

that is awful, sorry to hear man... that is just bad luck
