  1. will the JBJ or Milwaukee regulators fit the bill? They both have needle valves, solenoid valve and bubble counters. Price difference is about 10 bucks. The Milwaukee is 75 or so and the JBJ is 85. Which one should I get. You can see them both on http://aquatic-store.com/en-us/dept_32.html Thanks for the help. Sam
  2. Where can I get a 10 lbs bottle of CO2 and a regulator for a calcium reactor at a decent price. Or is anyone selling there bottle and reg? This will be for a calcium reactor set up. Thanks Sam
  3. When I bought my live rock from a local reefer. I was putting the rocks into the tank, when I picked up this basket ball size rock and this 3 foot bristle worm fell out. I only wish I had my digital camera then. It was pretty ugly though. Thought I would share. Oh, and he did not make into the tank, he slipped out my hands and into the garbage :D Sam
  4. silversides. They love them.
  5. sweet, It would be nice if there is a way we could see if this method of advertising works. Maybe at the meeting have at the registration table, a questionaire asking people how they heard about the club or something like that. Then we could keep track of how many people heard about the meeting through the post in order to see if the post is grabbing attention or not. Thoughts?
  6. I keep temp at 79-80 yearly with the use of 3 fans. pretty cheap alternative.
  7. I use a 6 inch bed in my fuge, full of southdown with seeded sand from other tanks around the area. I use cheato in there and it is lit with a LOA (lights of america) light that is awsome for growing cheato. You can buy everything at home depot (best store ever!)
  8. Thought I posted to this thread a while ago, but scrolled through and I did not. So, I live in alexandria, va. Kingstown area specifically.
  9. oh yeah my 30 gall trash can is hooked up to my ro/di with a float switch. So it is one continuous flow of kalk to my tank 24/7!
  10. I made my own kalk reactor for about 60-70 bucks. It is connected to an elevated 30 gal. trash can. My set up is all gravity fed. No pumps required. I just use a ball valve to adjust drip rate. I drip about 2-3 gallons a day in my 125g. Only job I have to do is fill the reactor with kalk maybe every 3 weeks. Thats all.
  11. Great tank!! and welcome. I would love to have one of those tanks in my office, but then it would be tedious to hand carry ro water to work. But she is a beauty!
  12. hahaha ruh roh, that is a good one! like Scooby.
  13. <------- simple, I have multiple tangs. That are always running around my tank!
  14. If this isnt an April fools joke then I will grab alot of your sps!! check pm and email

  16. I have a brand new icecap 660 with wiring harness with quick disconnect (never used) and heat sink (all in original box), 4 water proof endcaps, 1 72" URI super actinic VHO (180 'internal reflector), 1 72" URI actinic white (180 'internal reflector). This is a whole setup, everything you need run these bulbs are included. Make me an offer. Thanks
  17. well to update everyone. I just tapped off a different light swich which was totally independent of the other 15 amp line. I made sure that other things were not running on the other one also. So now I have 2 independent pretty much dedicated 15 amp lines running to my tank. I have 2 pumps 2 heaters so I will just put one on each so if 1 breaker pops the other will be running, so I will aways have circulation unless a total outage occurs. Sort of like what Krish said to do. Thanks for all the quick replys. 7 in 24 hours is awsome. Thanks Sam
  18. does anyone know an electrician that will install a 30 amp circuit breaker and install the wire to run to the plugs. I only have 15 amp right now and I have about 2000 or more watts that I will be using and the 15 amp breaker will pop all the time, so I need to upgrade to a 30 to be safe. Thanks in advance. Sam
