My 20g aio

Recommended Posts

I got this Fuji cube aio setup a few years ago preparing for a move. We never moved but we’re hoping to this coming spring/summer. Reefing for about a quarter of my life, I find it extremely difficult to leave the hobby. But with two young kids I don’t have the time to fully appreciate the hobby like I used to. I’m hoping to be content with this 20g bc I don’t see an upgrade in the foreseeable future.

I’m going to move over some ls once the skimmer breaks in.

Looks great. I'm a fan of the Tunze's, the biggest point of failure on them is the pumps, and those are relatively cheap, so I just try to keep a backup on hand JIC. Or you could do what a sane person does, and just swap it once a year.

We added a new friend for Clowny. I also made some room for new coral or two. It’s kinda nerve wracking adding new life into my tank. It’s been years since introduced anything. But that’s the fun part of the hobby, right? Buying stuff.

I’m seeing more color from my sps since making the switch to leds from mh/t5. The poto heavens gate is looking gnarly. This is what five years of growth looks like. Hands down the slowest I’ve ever experienced. But this far in I’m committed to seeing how this one turns out.

Some coral just doesn’t grow in one tank but will grow like weed in another tank. I have a few frags of sps that don’t grow at all for many many years.
