jeffvt1999 March 9, 2020 March 9, 2020 Anybody know of anything reef safe products besides super glue and epoxy to give a little temporary hold when testing out locations of Frags or plugs, and keep them relatively in place for a short time? Thinking there must be something with a little bit of stick to it and chewing gum consistency.
lynn.reef.nerd March 9, 2020 March 9, 2020 I do not know of anything other than Super glue or epoxy. However, I have found that even with the super glue, it is quite easy to snap them off the rock with a bone cutter. If I am just testing out a location, I would glue the entire plug to the rock (plug stem and all). This makes it easy to just cut the plug off the rock when I need to move it. I have also seen those who would drill multiple holes into the rock that would fit frag plugs. This makes it easier to move corals around. I think youtube channel Coral Euphoria (?) did a very good job of explaining it.
