BtmDweller June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 Red slime? aka cyano? If so chemiclean works wonders.
bues0022 June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 I've also used Chemiclean with decent results. Mine came back, however, as the root cause of the issue was not fixed (I think I need new DI resin). Fix the root cause along with chemiclean is the best way for optimal results.

If it is red slime, chemiclean is great providing you have decent oxygen exchange (surface agitation, skimmer, airstone) in your system otherwise it could cause issues due to oxygen depletion.
