Now that I have your attention, I have to say I am so jealous of you guys because of the LFS in VA. You guys not only have BRK, but Fins and Feathers too. I stopped by Fins and Feathers today and Sean lived up to more than the hype. Very knowledgeable and very personable. I watched him take time with a woman who had absolutely no idea about fish tanks (but supposedly she had a 100gal) and explain everything he could to her. When I first showed up he was talking to her, so I checked out the inventory and went next door to get some coffee. I came back and he was still educating the woman. I can't think of many places that would spend that much time educating the consumer like that. At a couple of the Maryland LFS you'd be lucky to get an employee who knows the difference between saltwater and freshwater(don't have to mention names, but we all know who I'm talking about). I even found a 20" PC light so I can fill the gap in lighting over my tank. Unbelievable experience!!

Now that I have a Civic and not a gas guzzling Cherokee, I definitly see them getting some more money from me in the future.

Consumer Rating: 5/5 stars!

I really appreciated you coming back to the store and giving us a second chance...in retrospect i believe the previous situation ended win win. Since the last critique we have made a real effort to provide pricing for all livestock that is for sale.

we do pride ourselves on our service and ability to educate the customer. But trust me when I say that I explain nitrification 2-3 dozen times a day and Always have to refuse the sale of Nemo's for the kids Betta bowl.... :drink:

with that said we have learned to look at peoples lack of knowledge not as a burden but as an oppurtunity to teach. Thanks again for the rating and the visit

Cheers

Sean

:gho: I love quotes out of context. :gho:

Where *is* this fins and feather's place? I've never been there...

Wow, thats pretty funny. And somehow I'm the one who gets reprimanded for putting up "non-family" material on the site. I guess its all in the interpretation............ :smokin:

I actually went to F&F for the first time yesterday on the way to picking up a group buy. Found this place completely by accident because I was stopping at the safeway to pick up cash to pay for my order. Awesome store, now that I know where it is and being as it's only about 15 min drive from work...I might have to start bringing some of my business there. They have a good discount for wamas members too from what I understand.

See what happens when you give someone a second chance. It turn out so much better once things get explained and you step back an take a second look. Lets apply this everywhere.

Our store is 5 miles west of Route 28 by Dulles Airport. Exit #5 on the TOLL road. For alternate directions to bypass the toll road gimme a call at the store, or post a request for them.

Make it a LONG lunch hour. I've only been there once and spent more than a lunch hour drooling over the frags that had fallen under the shelves in is frag tank. Then I moved on to looking at the rest of the frag tank!

and if you happen to catch sean at a not busy moment youll be engrossed in convo for hours.

F&F is a very good place to shop. whenever sean gets his online store up ill eb saving the 4 hour trip to see him.
