BeltwayBandit July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 I have this umm... obsession of sorts. When I have items shipped to me I find that I tend to repeatedly track the item to see where it is on its journey. Am I wierd? Or do others frequently track the progress of their goodies?
BeltwayBandit July 26, 2006 Author July 26, 2006 Do you really want us to answer that? Probably not..
Valeria July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 In general daily, but there are some items when real time tracking is needed
mogurnda July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 Daily until it gets close. Then every few hours on delivery day.
dbartco July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 I wish we had gps access to whatever vehicle it is on! Half the time it is stuck saying "Arrived Sorting facility, Irvine CA", then it shows up the next hour.
BeltwayBandit July 26, 2006 Author July 26, 2006 Yeah, cross country ground shipments are the worst. 2-3 days with no updates then bam.. Out for delivery. In general daily, but there are some items when real time tracking is needed I would love real time on overnight "live goods" items. I hate having to spend a whole day hanging around the house to accept a shipment.
Gatortailale July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 for livestock, I have it shipped to fedex facility located a few miles from me at dulles and just pick it up there - no need to wait & livestock not on a hot truck.
Sugar Magnolia July 26, 2006 July 26, 2006 Daily until it gets close. Then every few hours on delivery day. ^^^ What he said.
emissary July 27, 2006 July 27, 2006 I check it once when it ships and daily until an estimated delivery date shows up.. if it wasn't there on the first try. Then.. I'll usually check it again the day before delivery and the day of delivery just to make sure things are on track.
