I had the opportunity to swap out my Noopsyche K7V3's for some Radion G5 Pros. Normally I'm a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guy, but I wanted a little more flexibility with wireless control (adjustment.) You can step program on the Noopsyche's, it just a long process, and and uncomfortable user experience. That being said, the growth and colors I got out of them made it worth the $2,500 saved.

That being said, those noopsyches are now FS, so if you want to also light up your tank on a budget, I'm your guy!

Anyways, new (to me) lights, same tank:

Well, I finished the battle with dinos, and won. Great news.

I also lost my clam in the process.

A few changes I've made all at once, so it's hard to pinpoint. New lights, I took the UV out of the sheathing and ran it in my overflow, I possibly killed all the nutrients. Big water change. Everything else seems unaffected, and thriving even, so who's to say? I also cleaned up my MP40 covers that were pretty clogged, and changed the flow.

I added a gorgonian. I had a neighbor shutting down their tank, and I couldn't find a home for it fast enough, so it temporally went into my tank. I like it, but I think I need to trim it back a bit. I also added a mandarin, who has been seemingly doing well, although my success rate with them has never been great.

I'm still battling algae, i think from letting the tank get so dirty during the dinos, so my hope is with some routine maintenance and a beefed up CUC I can nip that in the bud. Last but not least, I still have my issue of the blue clove polyps. I'm worried about dosing Fenbendazole, but I need to do something sooner than later.

Anyways,

Isaac, sorry about the derasa.  I lost one recently when the return pump went out and the temp dropped in one of my nano  tanks at work.  Maxima made it so that was good.

The tank looks awesome as always and congrats on winning against dinos.

Thanks! Can’t win them all, nice to win some!

 There’s always something!
