dpassar12 May 28, 2017 May 28, 2017 So I started to do a water change tonight.,. I turned my skimmer off and a minute later one of my Blueline 40 HD-X's just stopped pumping. I turned it on and off and it just sounds funny, like a jet engine? Anyone ever experience this and know what could be causing that? I primed the pump, checked for obstructions in the line etc etc... I took the pump apart everything looks fine, pretty clean wiped everything anyway. I reinstalled the pump and same noise and no water. Of course the is the only piece of equipment that I do not have a backup for, was considering using a single larger pump and put off getting a backup... stupid stupid... Anyway does anyone know where I can get a replacement, like yesterday? Any LFS around the area that sell them? If not would take a single Reef Flo or Iwaki? Dan
Lowefx May 28, 2017 May 28, 2017 Sounds like the impeller separated from the drive shaft. If you can remove the shaft and impeller, you can more closely Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

dpassar12 May 29, 2017 Author May 29, 2017 I rigged 2 backup MAG 9's on my display. I will get in touch with Blueline and send it in, it is still under warranty. I am now in the same situation I was before trying to decide to get a larger single pump or just replace the Blueline with an Iwaki...

dpassar12 May 29, 2017 Author May 29, 2017 Yes I'm good. I ordered a iwaki md/70. The mags will work for a few days
