mr.x-ray January 17, 2017 Share January 17, 2017 Mag-floats work better IMHO. If you want a pole type thing. There are several manufacturers out there that make them with blades and/or scrub pads. Swifter, lol. Had me going for a sec.
dpassar12 January 17, 2017 Share January 17, 2017 Mag floats for me as well. You may something longer for the bottom sand line. I have a scraper from Petco that I have used for a number of years without any issue.. Has small metal blade on the bottom. You can also use a razor blade if you don't mind getting your arm wet. epleeds January 17, 2017 Share January 17, 2017 I have this and hands down one of the best ones out there. I have other brands but this one is awesome. Cleans the glass in half the time. The blades are easily replaceable. https://www.amazon.com/Gulfstream-Tropical-AGU00400-Mag-Float-Scraper/dp/B009ETM470
zygote2k January 17, 2017 Share January 17, 2017 I use the mag floats with scrapers on regular glass. DO NOT use them on Starfire unless you don't mind scratches.

I use it on my personal tank that has starfire for the last 2 years. Never scratched it.

Apcoleman January 17, 2017 Share January 17, 2017 I was between the tunze and the flipper. I ended up with the flipper and have been very happy. I store it outside of the tank when not in use and it has not scratched my tank with starfire glass. https://www.amazon.com/Flipper-Max-Magnet-Cleaner-1-Inch/dp/B00MZCU0P6
