rottloverr November 25, 2015 November 25, 2015 I was wondering what the general census was regarding the accuracy of these devices? Trying to plan what kind of kits to buy.
Origami November 25, 2015 November 25, 2015 I like my Hanna alk checker an phosphorus ULR checker. I've found both to be fairly reliable. On a per-test basis, they're not the cheapest. An old-fashioned test kit will often be cheaper than these options if you're testing fairly regularly.
Reefer_Madness November 25, 2015 November 25, 2015 I have the Alk and Phospate ULR checkers as well. Very accurate in my experience.
Apcoleman November 25, 2015 November 25, 2015 The Alk and phosphate ULR are very easy to use and I use mine to test weekly. I also own the calcium checker which is great, but takes some practice to get accurate results.
Reefer_Madness November 26, 2015 November 26, 2015 FYI they are having a pretty good sale on Hanna Checkers at BRS......$35
zygote2k November 26, 2015 November 26, 2015 If you're a casual tester, then these tests will be fine. If you're a multiple tests per day guy like me, then they're way too time consuming. I like my Saliferts and have been using them for the past 20 years.
