DaveS August 12, 2015 August 12, 2015 Want to play with one for a day or so. Anyone near Tyson's have one they are willing to lend out? Won't do anything crazy with it, just trying to get a better sense for how it works than you can get from visiting the MS store. Thanks.
Rob A August 12, 2015 August 12, 2015 (edited) Just some advice, and you may know this already, some of the Surfaces come with Windows RT 8.1 and you can't install anything but apps (like how an ipad works) so you might want to get one without the RT designation. My wife has a Surface RT and becuase of it's small size she likes to use it instead of a laptop when she travels to conferences to do power point presentations since you can plug in a flash drive and also a cord for the projector (with an adaptor). I wanted to pull my hair out in frustration the first few times I played with it. So many swipe maneuvers to learn. Edited August 12, 2015 by Rob A
YHSublime August 12, 2015 August 12, 2015 What version, Dave? I'd be interested in your thoughts, I've heard nothing but wonderful things.
elbowdeep88 August 13, 2015 August 13, 2015 Ive got the pro three for work and like it a lot. Even handles lite video editing like a champ.
davidm August 13, 2015 August 13, 2015 I've got a surface and really like it (don't know which version - but I think it's 2nd generation). I'm in Vienna - you can borrow it for a while if you like. David
