morgan175 October 5, 2014 October 5, 2014 Well I think this is the next step into the hobby. Where and which type should I buy. Is there anything I should avoid or look for. Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DuffyGeos October 5, 2014 October 5, 2014 Are you wondering about acclimating fish to the parameters of your tank, or making sure the new fish gets introduced to his new tank mates slowly without them bullying him?

DuffyGeos October 5, 2014 October 5, 2014 Something like this? This is a fancy one. I like it. Right now I have a breeding net box that I use to keep a new fish away from everyone else until I think he is ready. One nice thing is that the food for the most part stays in the netting so he can eat it at his own rate.
ridetheducati October 5, 2014 October 5, 2014 This is what I use. I drilled additional holes and secure it to main display with Tunze magnets. After quarantine, fish are moved to the box for 3-5 days before released into main display.

ridetheducati October 5, 2014 October 5, 2014 I did not glue the magnet because I wanted to maintain mounting options. I drilled holes to allow plenty of flow, food swirls around.

Mattiejay6 October 6, 2014 October 6, 2014 I have the elite aquatics acclimation box and the problem I have with it is if you have plastic trim on your tank you have to push it down into the water to open it up potentially letting fish out. It is designed for rimless aquariums IMO. Aquabox is the way to go.
