DuffyGeos August 13, 2014 August 13, 2014 tank is filled with water and all is good! got the fluval 405 running right now to get the water clear from the sand and stuff. the skimmer I got for free from a friend is an all in one. skimmer, uv sterlizer, and filter. its the PSE1 skimmer. have you guys heard of that or know if that works well? I wanted to get one of the hang on the back skimmers but got this and was curious if it works well. and where do I post stuff I want to sell? Thanks everyone! Go to forums onthe top left tab, then to the bottom at Sell/Trade/WTB/Auction Forums The 55g is not the best tank because of width, but now that it is set up make the best use of it. Probably a good idea not to add too much rock since you don't have a lot of width, it will make it hard to clean, and will reduce swimming room. It will also allow better flow in the tank. What type of powerhead are you going to use for flow in the tank?

I don't this its necessary to explain the benefits, as you've probably realized all the help that is available, but you'll be able to come to our meets, hear our speakers, have access to our share the wealth and propegate program, the buy/sell/trade forums, as well as a few other forums you can't currently see. You'll get discounts at some of our supporting vendors stores, and all around be part of a great group!

DuffyGeos August 13, 2014 August 13, 2014 just joined! where is this 50 dollar fixture!!! lol Top left Forum tab then bottom under Sell/Trade/WTB/Auction Forums first thread under For Sale/WTB/Free It is a 48" PC light that will fit your tank. You need to know what you plan on keeping in your tank. The PC power compact lights will not grow SPS (my experience), but they will grow softies. Not sure on bulb life, and the bulbs are not available everywhere. I have had on on a 29g and was fine for a couple years till I got the itch.......
