Might want to put something down to protect it from salt water drips, splashes, and possibly big spills.

My 150 is on carpet, no issues yet

Watch out for sway on carpet. Until the padding and carpet gets compressed the tank can rock back and forth and if there is flex in the floor at all or significant vibrations, there's a very small chance it could slide off the stand.

I had a tank on carpet and it made me nervous when my kids ran by and the tank rocked enough to move the water. I ended up moving the tank to the basement where the carpet padding is thin and there is no swaying.
