morgan175 April 18, 2014 April 18, 2014 Can I use a screw driver to break an old plug away from the live rock inSide my tank. Even better how do you all get rid of a frag plug if something die that was on it. I know stupid question. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
YHSublime April 18, 2014 April 18, 2014 Yep, you sure can. I use a screw driver for many things in my tank. You could probably yank it off with your hands if you really wanted. I don't get rid of frag plugs. You'll want them down the road. I always just scrape whatever was attached off, coral skeleton, rubble rock, whatever it was, and dry out the plug. Don't over think it!
Crob5965 April 18, 2014 April 18, 2014 yeah just use your hands, I'm always looking for frag plugs, I ran out a while ago and replaced them with rubble rock, when I ran out of that I started using old snail shell's which was a bad call cos I now have hermits in my tank running around with my coral
Crob5965 April 18, 2014 April 18, 2014 Your really worried about putting a screw driver in the tank? lol like a champ
morgan175 April 19, 2014 Author April 19, 2014 Thanks guys. Paul I appreciate your advice I prefer bottles to cans. I do over think things. I have had so much trouble with my past tanks that I do get nervous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gmerek2 April 19, 2014 April 19, 2014 It's good to over think in this hobby. Just make sure you wash it off well. Make sure it wasn't used or stored around contaminants oil etc
paul b April 19, 2014 April 19, 2014 Wash it off after you stick it in your tank or it will rust. I use screwdrivers, vises, golf clubs, tire irons and Oldsmobile fenders in my tank all the time.
