xabo February 21, 2014 February 21, 2014 Need a Apex guru to assist me in programming metal halide light on my unit.
Fishie February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 goto configuration-> outlet setup set control type to Light ( on the outlet you have connected it to) try and avoid 4 and 8 so u can use them for something that needs them use Fallback OFF set ur on time and off time , you can use a shutdown probe as temp and set it to shut down if the tank temp gets too high (should not happen) but if it did then at least ur halides aren't adding more heat until u remedy the issue at hand
xabo February 22, 2014 Author February 22, 2014 Have outlets configured as follows: Fallback OFF if Time 1200 to 2000 On if Time 2000 to 1200 Off Light come on for about 5 min and go off repeatedly. Any thoughts?
Fishie February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 u don't need to set it as advanced ...if u set it as control "light" you don't have to type commands
Origami February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 Try something like Fallback OFFSet OFFIf Time 12:00 to 20:00 Then ONIf TankTmp > 82.0 Then OFFMin Time 015:00 Then OFF TankTmp is the temperature probe of your tank. Replace it with whatever your temp probe is named. This sets the default state to off. Between noon and 8PM, the lights come on. In the event the tank temperature climbs above 82 degrees, it will shut the lights down to reduce heat loading. If the power flickers or the lights go out for whatever reason, the last statement will let the lamps cool for 15 minutes before firing them up again. (That's the hysteresis setting.) Don't forget the colons in the times.
xabo February 22, 2014 Author February 22, 2014 Have the actinics set to light and they do the same thing.
Fishie February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 try going to advanced and just do below as the only line ... just trying to see if it comes and stays on at least set on
xabo February 22, 2014 Author February 22, 2014 Actinic just went off....the icon on the controller shows that it's still on.
Fishie February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 ok if it stays on for 5+ minutes...then switch back the control to light and set fallback to off on time to 12:00 off time to 20:00 shutdown probe to temp device shutdown value to say 85 hysterisis to 020:00
Fishie February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 Actinic just went off....the icon on the controller shows that it's still on. oh hmmm then ignore my previous post.. try connecting it to a wall outlet...not an apex port and see if the actnic stays on continuously for a period more than 5-10 minutes
Origami February 22, 2014 February 22, 2014 It sounds like the main unit is not communicating with the EB8. Are the other sockets on the EB8 working?
xabo February 22, 2014 Author February 22, 2014 I believe that may be the problem. I notice that wen I press the right arrow to advance the screen, at times it will stall for a moment then flash 5-6 times efore advancing. Is this normal?
