mlmatta January 17, 2014 January 17, 2014 Hello everyone! I'm slightly overdue for an introduction. My name is Mike. I live in Severn, MD. About a year ago a coworker of mine wouldn't shut up about his aquarium, so I had to get one to figure out what the heck the big deal was. So, I found a 65G RR Oceanic on Craigslist with lots of extras like an RODI, additives, and a sump for $150. Not a bad price. Ever since, I've been addicted. Now I'm the one in the office that won't shut up about the hobby. One of my best decisions was to join WAMAS in November. Since then, my knowledge of the hobby has skyrocketed! So thank you all for that. Regarding future plans, I'm slowly upgrading all of my equipment to allow for an easy transition to a larger, SPS-ready tank. In the past month alone I've bought dosers, 2 Vortech MP 40's, and just put in an order for 2 Evergrow IT2040s. Yikes. Anyway, looking forward to learning more from you guys! If you're in the area or need assistance with anything, feel free to ask me!
JR-Tanked150 January 17, 2014 January 17, 2014 Welcome, it is a very addictive hobby. Post some pictures of your set up. We love pictures.
TheyCallMeMr.703 January 17, 2014 January 17, 2014 Nice size, for a first reef. Welcome to WAMAS, glad you finally decided to come out of the shadows, and join us in our fun and play.lol Nice equipment list as well, on the right path. .
wildcrazyjoker81 January 17, 2014 January 17, 2014 Yay!! Another MD guy. Welcome and +1 on Pics. With that purchase list you definitely sound like a reef addict/junkie
mlmatta January 17, 2014 Author January 17, 2014 Thank you all for the welcomes! I'd update the original post, but I'm not sure how. Regardless, here's proof I have no idea what I'm doing... Not too shabby for $150 Stand built! Stand primed Coming together! Ready to be filled... This is the first thing I'm going to upgrade when I get a new tank/more space. I hate my stupid sump. Clearly I was drunk when arranging my first aquascape. Got a little better the second time around.. Bought a 6-bulb Aquatic Life T5 and hung it. Not a bad light. Proud of my first xenia. Started upgrading in prep for SPS. MP-40's in action Anemones doing well.
YHSublime January 17, 2014 January 17, 2014 I thought your first aquascape was beautiful!!! Maybe I'm drunk?

Thank you! I'm actually thinking about rearranging again. I'm thinking if I break it up into smaller rocks, I'll have more options. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
