Rosco's Reefs January 2, 2014 January 2, 2014 I have several of these "things" in my tank but don't really know what they are are... Then I noticed a healthy frogspawn exhibiting a similar looking section that used to have beautiful tentacles Are these just dead frogspawn skeletons? If they are dead, I'll pull them out. Thx
Rosco's Reefs January 2, 2014 Author January 2, 2014 thx all, new question...do those skeletons serve any sort of "live rock surface area" for helpful bacteria in my tank? Ross
YHSublime January 2, 2014 January 2, 2014 thx all, new question...do those skeletons serve any sort of "live rock surface area" for helpful bacteria in my tank? Ross I'm sure to some degree. Otherwise, they are probably just wasted space, or ornaments, The size, or surface area of them is, imo, insignificant on the grand scale.
Origami January 2, 2014 January 2, 2014 thx all, new question...do those skeletons serve any sort of "live rock surface area" for helpful bacteria in my tank? Ross Yes, not much surface area since they're small, but some. Sent from my Rezound on Tachyon using Tapatalk
kjamaya January 2, 2014 January 2, 2014 I would keep it in for a while. I had a mini colony die on me before and left the skeleton in. Before I knew it, I had new heads growing and current dead heads growing back.
