javelin911 December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 Anyone in the Alexandria area that would/could drill holes in a tank for me? I hope to need some drilled in the next week... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
YHSublime December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 I've not done it, but I've heard it's easier than you think! You might be able to DIY!
Coral Hind December 31, 2013 Share December 31, 2013 What size tank? Glass or Acrylic? Do you have the bit yet? What size and how many holes?
javelin911 January 1, 2014 Author Share January 1, 2014 Will know more tomorrow but probably a 250 gallon tank. Glass. I do not have bits. Not positive on overflow design, but was thinking coast to coast type setup. This would keep the water exit level high on the tank to create a drop through the wall into my pump/fish room to the sump and other items. AlanM January 1, 2014 Share January 1, 2014 Is the glass tempered? Also will you get upset if someone else is drilling your new tank and it cracks? That is the big question you have to answer, and the reason why most people are told to do it themselves. Drilling works out most of the time, but it is an unhappy time for everyone involved when it doesnt.
Jason Rhoads January 1, 2014 Share January 1, 2014 Go for it! Drilling glass is easy peazy, there are good videos on Youtube.
