well, why do we keep any fish in our tanks?  peppermints are not endangered.  those people that can afford to keep them usually have systems that are tailored to them and probably provide them a better home then most of us do for our run of the mill yellow tangs.

 

The guy that has 2 set up a separate 90 gallon tied together with a chiller to a 2000 gallon system just for these guys.

Blue tangs swim for miles in a day looking for food. Mine swims 6 feet. I don't think I'll buy any more tangs.
