Moved - Finally up and running

Greetings,

 

I recently moved to Falls Church from Long Island and finally got most of my system online. This time I ended up building in my 90 and left my 75 on a normal stand. I managed to save almost 80% of my corals during the move and took the time to setup my basement, but didn't use all my equipment.

 

Anyone folks out there willing to trade corals/equipment to welcome us to NVA?

 

Also, one of my suppliers sent me a double batch of corals/Triggers/Husk/rics/nass snails, if anyone is interested.

First off, welcome to the neighborhood! I'm sure you'll find plenty of folks around willing to buy/sell/trade. WAMAS is a pretty active community and I've never regretted "joining the club" since doing so late last year. It's been a treat.

I'm orginally from Plainview, LI, and moved down here 5 years ago. At MACNA, I sat and had dinner with the Long Island Reef Association, and met a great bunch of people. Were you in LIRA?

Yes, I was/am a member of LIRA and still try and make the monthly meetings. Although I missed Sanjay's lighting briefing last week... he only hit MH lights and not LEDs so, nothing much missed.

 

fishface: WHo did you meet from LIRA?

 

Flowerseller: If your looking for the Arizona... nope... I don't much care for it.. sorry, but it was made in the warehouse behind my old work.

 

SO, it looks like I'll post my list of extras on the membership part. Give me a day or so to inventory.

 

I tried to find when your meetings are... nothing on the schedule. Does everyone meeting regulary?

The next meeting will be sometime in mid-late January or early February. The date time and location have not been settled yet. We usually have formal meetings once a quarter and many informal meetings along the way. Most of those spring from either group purchases, swapping frags, making DIY goodies or making food. We have a really good bunch of people here. Welcome to the party!
