dano September 7, 2013 September 7, 2013 I have a 155 reef tank and have in the past infrequently added Essential Elements or Coral Vital. I also feed corals infrequently with Marine Snow. I pretty consistently add two part dosing. Occasionally a little iodine and Magnesium/strontium. Very lax on water changes but corals and fish are thriving. I need to get some salt and was looking through Dr. Foster's catalogue and they have so many different coral supplements I though I would check to see if anyone has some favorites, probably to replace the Essential Elements/coral Vital. Thanks.
gmerek2 September 7, 2013 September 7, 2013 I go by the theory if it ain't broke don't fix it. Sounds like you are doing a good job!
smallreef September 7, 2013 September 7, 2013 and i go buy if you dont test for it dont add it! so if everthung is going good..and your calc, mg, and others are in line...dont change anything...
YHSublime September 7, 2013 September 7, 2013 Instead of looking to add supplements why don't you just feed instead? I occasionally spray a little cyclopeeze or reef roids with my corals, and I find that keeps everything looking bright and colorful. Just a thought!
