zygote2k September 7, 2013 Share September 7, 2013 it's easy if you have the right kit. Sand with heaviest grain horizontally, then next grain size lower in vertical, and so on till all scratches are gone. Very difficult to do near corners and very hard to sand with 6000 grit or higher due to surface friction. You'll always be able to tell where the scratch removal job was done. A typical sanding job takes me 1-2 hours and is a great upper body workout.

zygote2k September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 What kit do you use? the company who makes Dialyseas also makes professional scratch removal kits. I use their magnet and a combination of MicroMesh sanding pads.
Origami September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 I've used this kit (and a bunch of elbow grease) for small stuff back when I had an acrylic 180. This seems to be what Rob's talking about.
