dmatt56 July 24, 2013 July 24, 2013 Hello eveyone, I noticed my Wantanabei Angel developed popeye between feeding 1 and 2 today. I'm guessing it ran into something for got hit by another fish. What should I do? Will it go away? Water parameters are all normal. Thanks, Matt
luan67 July 24, 2013 July 24, 2013 Good water quality will usually help the fish recover. I also had success with Fish-Flox (Cipro).
Coral Hind July 24, 2013 July 24, 2013 I would let it be for a few days and see if it try to recover naturally. If it doesn't get better, starts to cloud up, or you can see anything moving inside the eye, then I would look at treatment.
sachabballi reef July 29, 2013 July 29, 2013 How's the fishy? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
dmatt56 July 30, 2013 Author July 30, 2013 It's eye is still popped but it's clear. It's definitely not going cloudy. I did one water change already and plan another one this week. Will keep you posted.
luan67 July 31, 2013 July 31, 2013 I wont recommend putting fish flox in a DT. Water change will help if you cannot get the fish out into a QT tank. Good luck.
Coral Hind August 1, 2013 August 1, 2013 Does it have an air bubble or does it just look fluid filled?
Coral Hind August 1, 2013 August 1, 2013 That is the same issue my Squirrelfish has. I have tried different meds and pulling out the air with a needle three times. We finally just gave up and left the fish alone. His eye is still swollen and I doubt it will ever go away. He still eats and acts fine so I'm not worried about it anymore.
dmatt56 August 4, 2013 Author August 4, 2013 The bubble seemed to go away over the last two days. He's back to normal now!
