swimmatte June 11, 2013 June 11, 2013 Kessil has announced a new concept design for their LED lighting line. The current concept has the light ~2ft long and drawing over 100W. Looks like they are considering making a 4ft version as well.
swimmatte June 11, 2013 Author June 11, 2013 Call me crazy but it sure looks like they have included some sort of WiFi antenna on the right side?
Djplus1 June 11, 2013 June 11, 2013 Is this just a concept or is one of these going to be over my tank next month?

IME, LED's work best when they are hung and not sitting on the tank. I would be happy if I never saw a manufacturer sell legs for LED's ever again... Unless the legs were 6-8 inches tall. When the LED's are too close to the surface they burn everyrhing towards the top of the tank, dont disperse well, and make the tank feel very artificial. Either way this looks like an awesome concept and I'm really looking forward to seeing more LED's built in this fixture sort of form. I'm tired of the AI's, radions, kessils, etc that dont fit any particular size tank and dont always play well together. This is really the sort of fixture I like! It started with the maxspect, now maybe kessil will pick up the ball?!
