rebekwl May 5, 2013 Share May 5, 2013 Has anyone ever used a larger footprint mag float on curved glass? We have a 92 gallon corner tank and on our previous tank we used the large foot print mag float (since it covers more area at a time) but I'm thinking it might not sit flush on the glass and want to know for sure before going out and buying one. Any thoughts??

L8 2 RISE May 5, 2013 Share May 5, 2013 If you put a blade on it, it will work.
monkiboy May 5, 2013 Share May 5, 2013 i use the algae free piranha float on my 46g and hold the magnet vertically and move it horizontally across the bow front and it cleans VERY well, usually all gone in one pass. the mag floats never really worked for me, even on flat glass as it required multiple passes, didn't clean evenly, or wasn't strong enough. rebekwl May 30, 2013 Author Share May 30, 2013 We ended up with the long slender mag float, works pretty well but will probably need to put a blade on it to get into the corners.
