Local acrylic suppliers

Hi all, I am planning in putting together a 60g frag tank. I am thinking about using 3/8 cast acrylic.

 

Any diyers buy acrylic locally ?

What sizes are you looking for? I might have some in the shed.

What actual sizes are you planning to make it so I can see what I have? I might have smaller strips you can use for the sides.

Not sure if it will be cheaper or should I get the 60g frag tank from premium aquatic, they got something for 300

I just went out to shed to check but it looks like all the 3/8" I have are only about 6" x 30". I have two 48"x48" sheets of clear 1/4" and a 48"x48" sheet of black 1/4". I have a 3/4" piece that's 19"x33" and a 1" piece about the same size. I doubt any of that will work for you.

Thanks, I am not sure if 1/4" would be thick enough for 60g 12" high, what do you think based on your exp?

If it was braced on the top I think it would work. Shot Adam at Artfully Acrylic a PM and get his insight.

I'd like the 2 48x48x.25. I am building some tops for my aquariums and the stuff I have is too thin. I also still have those three gallon size bags of bio-balls I promised a while ago if you still need them. Thx
