I'm planning a 90g tank, which is same length/width as my 75g but taller. I want to keep my same aquascaping if I can, but I want to raise it to make up for the tank being taller. How can I do this without having some ugly stuff visible under the rocks?

I had once cut up 2in" pieces of 1.5" PVC pipe, stand them up on the bottom of the tank and placed the LR above it. Cover up with sand and you don't see the pipes.

Eggcrate covered with sand...as long as you don't have any sifters...

Or buy some larger flat base rocks...just have to keep an eye out for them...

I only use 1/2 to 1" of sand, so I need to do something that won't need to be covered (nothing ugly).

My rock is only slightly past 1/2 way up as it is. Adding several inches to the tank height is going to make it look really short. Maybe I should post the question of how high other people have their rockwork.
