mling February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 I have a bunch of Mangroves in my sump. While some have leaves growing well, with new leafs growing, other have dropped all their leaves. All have good root systems going. Are the mangroves with no leaves left still of any good ? Could it be of harm ? The roots are still fine and not rotting. I have left this leafless mangroves in the tank for over a month and still the roots don't rot.
jimlin February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 A lot of aquatic plants will lose their leaves when the plant is getting used to a new aquarium. it should grow back.
davelin315 February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 Not always, could be the shoot has died. Squeeze it a bit to see if it is soft and rotted. The leaves should be sprayed with fresh water periodically.
