bcjm February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 The water does not shut off automatically anymore after replacing the filters and membrane. After reading the instructions online I think I am missing a check valve (never had one before but did work fine). Is there a local store sell the check valve?

After reading the instructions online I think I am missing a check valve (never had one before but did work fine). Is there a local store sell the check valve? What's your rodi setup like? Do you have a RO holding tank? It's either the check valve or auto shutoff valve. On my RO unit, the check valve is immediately after membrane casing. I had my check valve failed on me recently. My water bill doubled.
bcjm February 19, 2013 Author February 19, 2013 I do not have a holding tank. The auto shutoff valve seems to work fine when I tested it manually. I think it is the low pressure side can't buildup enough pressue without a check valve.
Origami February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 Is water production still good? Are you getting 0 TDS out?
bcjm February 19, 2013 Author February 19, 2013 It is close but not zero. Do you think something wrong with the new membrane?
lepete2000 February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 It is close but not zero. Do you think something wrong with the new membrane? Check waste water tds making sure its significantly higher than tapwater. Check that you are getting 1 gallon of good water to 4-5 gallons of waste. Check to see your water restriction valve is to spec and matching your membrane. I have a spare check valve... PM me
