Found this little bugger poking out of my substrate. There is no stem or foot exposed, only the disc and tentacles. If I pester it, it completely disappears below the surface of the substrate.

I found another one on one of my rocks but couldn't get a good picture of it.

Can someone confirm it's aiptasia or is it just the head of a cool worm or something?

Great, lucky me...

Inject them with vinegar or lemon juice, should take care of them.

It should be easy to remove, just scoop out the sand and remove it. The one on the rock can be killed with aiptasia-x or kalk paste.

Already scooped the one in the substrate out, turns out there was a piece of skeleton under there that it was attached to.

Will the injection harm any other nems in the tank? I have a Borneman's and a rock nem within a couple of inches of the aiptasia.

The Borneman is very fat and happy, so it hasn't reproduced after 6 months. I wouldn't mind if it did though, this one is gorgeous...

Inject the aptasia with a kalk slurry or Aiptaisia-X ASAP. If you are moderately careful, nothing even in the vicinity will be harmed.

I found one the other day I have no idea how I got it, unless it has been hiding in the rock for a few years. I put epoxy over it, over that part of the rock.
