  1. We are moving to Colorado at the beginning of July. Fortunately I only have a 14 and 8 gallon tanks to worry about. Planning 1 overnight stop 1/2 way at my mom's. The van has outlets in the back as well as a/c. most of my corals are encrusted/mounted to my LR so the play is to move the LR to a rubbermaid tub separated with plastic baskets and fish only in a separate small tub. both tubs will have small (50W) heaters and powerheads. When we get to my mom's the van goes in her garage and I'll do a 40-50% water change. Won't have the opportunity to have a tank set up on the other end until we get there. No idea how we will fare but I guess I'll find out...
  2. Depends on the nem. I have a rock nem that kept getting battered by flowing GSP. The GSP kept spreading and the nem kept shrinking until one day he got fed up and moved.
  3. I think the real secret is to keep it small and to ask for forgiveness, not permission
  4. 8 gallon SW and a 5 gallon FW, they tolerate it...barely
  5. The Borneman is very fat and happy, so it hasn't reproduced after 6 months. I wouldn't mind if it did though, this one is gorgeous...
  6. Already scooped the one in the substrate out, turns out there was a piece of skeleton under there that it was attached to. Will the injection harm any other nems in the tank? I have a Borneman's and a rock nem within a couple of inches of the aiptasia.
  7. Found this little bugger poking out of my substrate. There is no stem or foot exposed, only the disc and tentacles. If I pester it, it completely disappears below the surface of the substrate. I found another one on one of my rocks but couldn't get a good picture of it. Can someone confirm it's aiptasia or is it just the head of a cool worm or something?
  8. Everything that I got (all low-medium light corals) is doing great, with the exeption of the Dendrophyllia. 2 out of the 3 heads are definitely eating, and none of the heads are extending except for a few tentacles that are barely emerging. Can anyone who may have more experience with these chime in and let me know if this is normal or if I'm just not being patient enough? thanks Jared
  9. Poor guy had a good life. For newbies and semi-newbies like me, when the time comes for this sort of thing I highly recommend clove oil. I use it on my freshwater fish when their time is up and they just peacefully go to sleep and don't wake up. http://www.oscarfishlover.com/fish-euthanasia
  10. Don't let the 4-year-old photo fool you. Now she is an angry 4.5 year-old who considers everything I ask her to do to be more of a "suggestion" than a request...
  11. Hare today, gone tomorrow... Thank you, I'll be here all week... Be sure to tip your waitress...
