Hey gang newbie here trying to learn as much as possible before I get my setup going. I was gonna by a Fluval Spec V and give it a go but a lot of experienced folks told me to go 30g or bigger. So ive put my tv on craigslist hoping to barter.

My goal at first before I knew any better was to jus get the prettiest fish but I'm learning so much about zoas, and corals that I wanna go all in. Well im in D.C. and I hope to network and meet a lot of great folks here

Welcome! This sounds like a sales pitch, and it more or less is, but you'll find that by joining as a full member you'll get access to the sales area and the cost of this hobby will go WAY down. You can buy some incredible equipment, tanks, and livestock for a fraction of the cost new and often will be able to get a lot of freebies.
