Jan October 31, 2012 October 31, 2012 Hmmm. Strange looking. The tentacles are longer than usual for button polyps. The bodies are too long for majano. The tips aren't pointed like aiptasia....I have no clue. Not very attractive.
Jan October 31, 2012 October 31, 2012 Well, maybe they look a little like aiptasia. I've never seen a cluster of aiptasia, but who am I? I've never seen a lot of things.
426HEMI October 31, 2012 Author October 31, 2012 I sure hope I didn't pay for aptasia. :o I do like it, kinda creepy looking.
426HEMI October 31, 2012 Author October 31, 2012 Just fed the tank and it readily took good sized pieces of food. Not that it helps any....
GraffitiSpotCorals October 31, 2012 October 31, 2012 Did you try asking the person you bought them from?
426HEMI October 31, 2012 Author October 31, 2012 Did you try asking the person you bought them from? LFS. Didn't know. I'll be angry if it is aptasia, my fault though.
Origami October 31, 2012 October 31, 2012 Looks like yellow polyps that aren't yellow. Agreed. Parazoanthus spp.
426HEMI October 31, 2012 Author October 31, 2012 The mouths do look more like yellow polyp than aptasia.
davelin315 November 1, 2012 November 1, 2012 Not aiptasia! Some sort of colonial polyps, similar to or unhealthy yellow polyps. Parazoanthidae family as was already guessed/stated.
426HEMI November 1, 2012 Author November 1, 2012 Yeah, definitely not aptasia. Hoping they color up with some TCL.
426HEMI November 1, 2012 Author November 1, 2012 Looks like a match. Acrozoanthus http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=597+599+676&pcatid=676
