hey i was looking for a list of wrasse that will bury themselves when spooked rather than take the aerial route to go carpet surfing

only one i have had experience with is a melanarus wrasse and he never went airborne

i am planning a yellow wrasse this time and was looking to get 1 more preferably with a little pink/red in it but ill settle for anything colorful that is reef safe and likes to bury

The red coris wrasse hides and sleeps in the sand.

that was on the top of my list....but i think they may go after my cleaner shrimp and pistol shrimp and other snails...

I have a yellow coris that sleeps under the sand.

leopard wrasses also bury themselves in the sand (though they are pretty delicate shippers and tough to acclimate).

possum wrasses also prefer to bury....but are tiny... how big is your tank?

135...I'll check out more on the possum

Leopards seem hard to maintain

^not hard to maintain, actually quite hardy usually. Delicate to ship and tricky to acclimate, once you get past that, you are golden :)

I've had a leopard wrasse and have had him for about 4 months now.

he spent the first 4-5 weeks burried..... never tried to go up, but i do have a very high top...

he's a good eater and I haven't any problems with him,

I have heard of a lot of 6-Lines jumping.
