trockafella June 22, 2012 June 22, 2012 Say shenanigans one more time and see what happens Hey Farva what's that restaurant .....
ErikS June 22, 2012 June 22, 2012 ....not trying to debate or anything. and I'm definitely not a physic guy... but how is it possible to focus the same beam of light (make it more intense) and yet still cover the same surface area?....... One need not be, it's simply not possible...............but one only need compare Ecotech's output plots to Sanjay's to see they might "stretch" things a bit.
basser9 June 30, 2012 June 30, 2012 (edited) The radion really needs these reflecters for deeper tanks. Just as mh and t5 reflectors have got better in both spread and par so to will leds. There are so many optics for leds that its possible to increase the par on a setup and keep the same spread. Anybody notice cree has made a led that is a good as there xpg but at half the cost. The XBD from cree can cut a 100 right now off the price of a radium.....leds at retail from cutter for under 2.00 ....a roll of a 1000 is dirt cheap for builders. Nobody will have t5 or mh on there tanks in 10 years......its funny to read some of these threads. CHECK OUT CUTTER.......they have all kinds of 3up and 4up leds mixed for reef tanks......the death of mh/t5 lighting has started. http://www.cutter.com.au/proddetail.php?prod=cut1355 Check this 4up that cutter has.....if the radion had 3 of these in the middle instead of the fan they would of made a perfect light.
