8" blink.gif does it stay that pretty?

 

It will get a yellow tail and lose the spots so that it almost looks like a purple tang for a few years. Then it slowly loses the dark color and it becomes a brownish yellow body with a yellow tail. They do breed in captivity.

:lol2: Seen more than a couple of those in the wild..........pretty when young, not so much when adults - my wife found it hard to believe they're the same fish. Asked a guide "that's pretty...." went to "pretty plain" when shown an adult.

And if those fish (or most damsels really....) were as big as sharks.... I wouldn't get in the ocean......

pretty or not,, its still a damsel, lol

wouldnt put one in any of my tanks (okay yes excluding clownfish and only if i really really wanted one or have another aggressive tank, lol)
