onux20 December 8, 2011 December 8, 2011 So I got off work a little early today, okay alot early (holiday luncheon). I stopped by Pristine Aquariums in Alexnadria. Not a sponsor but... Man they have a pretty good selection of fish in today. Several different flavors of anthias. Several tangs, clown and covict among them. A beautiful Potters Angel. Most looked to be in decent shape. Picked up a female madarin for $20. Prices seem "competitive". Just thought I'd share. Ron
hypertech December 8, 2011 December 8, 2011 They do offer a 10% wamas discount - at least they did the last time I was in there. I've been in several times and got a different impression. $25 for a feather duster, $35 for a two spot goby, etc..... I do buy frozen food there.
Chad December 8, 2011 December 8, 2011 Being the closest LFS to me, I go in there for most standard maintenance needs. Pristine used to be a WAMAS sponsor; although the time predated me so I don't know the story there. I know Phil still does honor the 10% discount, though.
trockafella December 8, 2011 December 8, 2011 Phis is a really nice guy, I agree there pricing can be hit or miss sometimes, but still a nice store. Its always clean and I feel like the livestock always looks healthy.
RicSG December 8, 2011 December 8, 2011 Been there and the folks are nice. Very friendly and helpful. Yup the price sometimes can be off but most of the time very competitive with other local LFS.
