looks like you're wondering about the clam. I don't know the species, but it's harmless and a nice addition to any tank. It's a good water chemistry barometer- think canary in a coal mine. If it dies, there's a problem.

Yes, that is a clam, I have them in my refugium too... came in as hitch hiker and proliferate a fair amount. Filter feeders.

Looks more oyster than clam to me. I don't see a siphon which I believe is present on all clams. Also, I see pronounced tentacles lining the rim of the shell which is typical for oyster mantles but not clam mantles. Whatever it is, it certainly is cool!
