treesprite October 24, 2011 October 24, 2011 I have a tank I want to figure out if it's tempered, but can't remember how it's done... something with an LCD screen and something or other. I'm also wondering if there's a way to tell using a pair of 3-d glasses? Thanks for the info.
Max Ivers October 24, 2011 October 24, 2011 polarized sunglasses and a LCD screen (cell phone, laptop, etc). Put the sunglasses on and go outside (or under really bright light) and hold the screen behind the glass, in the tank. If it's tempered you'll see a dotting pattern or blobs that are darker due to the glass warping slightly from the tempering process. p.s. don't be tempted to put on the sunglasses when you drive home from the store...you'll get a massive headache as all the car windshields and many store windows will appear rainbow and dotted...it's quite interesting. (yes, I did this not knowing what I was in store for)
