Central Loudoun County: Getting Rid of Your Used Fluorescent Lamps today

Loudoun County regularly holds hazardous waste collection days. Today is one of them. 8:30 - 2:30. Dispose of your used fluorescent lamps properly, so that their mercury content does not wind up in landfills and, later, in ground water.

 

Today's collection is at Harmony Middle School, 38174 West Colonial Highway, Hamilton (just west of Leesburg).

 

Future 2011 collection dates and sites:

 

October 22: River Bend Middle School,46240 Algonkian Parkway, Sterling

November 19: Heritage High School, 520 Evergreen Mill Rd., Leesburg
