Skimmer water depth?? Need guidance asap :)

I have a turboflotor 1000 skimmer. My sump max depth will be six inches. Is this enough for this skimmer?

The one I have isn't. I'm back to looking for another skimmer though. That one is a pain to set up and no one really seems to know much about it. So, my sump is done with a 12" deep skimmer chamber. Now what? I'm not sure...lol.

google the skimmer and download the instructions. I don't see and insump model but your description isn't clear enough maybe a pic might help. Most in sump skimmers work in 7-9" or more in the sump. let us know how you make out.
