extreme_tooth_decay April 21, 2011 Share April 21, 2011 Looks like she snagged the fish by the fin with her hook. Seems fishy...

slimeemoss April 21, 2011 Share April 21, 2011 Lots of them in lakes around here. I have seen bigger ones at Greenbelt lake.
treesprite April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 I've seen some pretty huge ones outdoors before. Nothing so unusual.
extreme_tooth_decay April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 I see them in 4 mile run all the time, as well as people fishing for them. To eat. I never saw anyone snag one by the fin with a tiny hook, though.

extreme_tooth_decay April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 tooth decay, do you go down to 4 mile run alot? When the weather is nice I do. I like to do a 17 mile (plus a few for me to get to it) bike loop called "the arlington triangle" (LINK). A decent chunk of that follows 4 mile run. I see turtles, great blue herons, frogs, ducks, fish, etc. I live in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, not far from the Rt. 1 bridge over 4 mile run. I often stop on that bridge and look down and see fish and people fishing. Sometimes I will see huge orange or yellow goldfish/carp.
