Starfish

Do any of you know what species starfish this is?

It's a "Beaded Sea Star" aka Astropecten articulatus.

 

I mostly saw these doing turtle stuff on the Georgia coast - never seen them diving.

 

Where did you see this - Virginia Beach or somewhere like that?

It looks sort of like a cross between what we usually see as a "sea star" and a "brittle" or "serpent star"
