sdah0414 October 21, 2010 October 21, 2010 Bristleworm. They are pretty good scavengers. Harmless in your tank unless the numbers get out of hand. That seems like a fairly large one though.
Coral Hind October 22, 2010 October 22, 2010 Agreed, polycheate (poly-keet) worm or bristle worm. Totally harmless, I only remove the really big ones.
dakotasreef October 22, 2010 October 22, 2010 Bristle worm. Some wrasse will eat them and so will the odd Arrow Crab.
Happyfeet October 22, 2010 October 22, 2010 Bristle worm. Some wrasse will eat them and so will the odd Arrow Crab. My Yellow Watchman goby gobbles them up.
Larry Grenier October 22, 2010 October 22, 2010 There are horror stories about folks finding really big ones. Do a google search on "large bristle worm"... yikes
CHUBAKAH October 23, 2010 October 23, 2010 Not too sure many people have heard but the coral banded shrimp and royal gramma will team up and hunt them together as a team. The red coris wrasse is also a BW hunter although they will move everything not glued down searching for them.
