Larry Grenier September 3, 2010 September 3, 2010 I want to set-up a R-DSB and need sand. I saw some at Home Depot that was fine and white but not sure it is OK. Buffering capacity would be nice but reducing Nitrates is my goal. Where do I go to get affordable sand?
Chad September 3, 2010 September 3, 2010 I havent checked availability here, but you could try lowes or HD looking for white play sand, like yardright or tropical, do a vinegar test, if it bubbles, buy it. Usually $2-5 for a 50# bag.
