My first clam

It's been in my tank a few hours now and I can't believe it took me a year to buy one! It's gold with black stripes in the middle with a beautiful blue rim and hue around it.

As Jan mentioned it is a Tridacna derasa. They might not be the prettiest but they are the easiest of the Tridacna clams to keep.

Exactly, this one was next to 4 or 5 blue maximas but I still liked the way this one looked better with that blue rim. Pretty cool creature.
