I did a 25% water change today and noticed too late that half was just out of the water. He spit some water out of the tank. I've heard of something called bubble disease a condition that occurs when air bubbles get trapped in the clam. A couple hours later I noticed a bit brown on the edge of his teal blue flesh. What are the symptoms of a sick clam? Is there a way to get the bubbles out?

The clam will be fine. They are intertidal creatures and can spend 8 hours out of the water if necessary. Air bubbles won't get trapped in the clam.

You can burp it. If you tilt the clam back and forth slowly the bubbles will roll out of either of the two holes. It only tanks a couple of times.

+1 on all of the above. It'll be fine. If it is possible to tilt it, I'd do that just to feel better, but it will do it on its own if it needs to. (as long as it was healthy to begin with)
